Jeremy Mayfield

Mayfield started 31st and ended it with a top 10 finish. Great effort for a team that doesn't run consistently well every week.

Great job to the whole #19 Mountain Dew/Dodge team.

It's a nice day here, and I've been doing some of my favorite outdoor activities (golf, biking, etc.) So, instead of writing my own review of the race, (I never saw it... again) I'll just use Gordonline.com's review... along with all of our features.
Could Jeff Gordon had made a daring move to pass Robby Gordon in the closing laps of the Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon
Raceway? Probably. But rather to put a strong finish at risk,
Gordon raced clean and came up a bit short at the finish line. Robby Gordon, who led the most laps at Sonoma, captured his second
career victory. "On this racetrack it's hard to pass," Jeff
Gordon said. "We were faster than him and he was blocking,
which you need to do and it was a good move. My hat's off
to him. They did what they needed to do. They had the track
position. I did everything I could to go by him, but that's all we
had for him." Though, when pressed, Gordon admitted that a
runner-up
finish to close the points gap was on his mind. "I had to keep (points) in mind," Jeff Gordon said. "Robby's pretty hungry at these road course races. There were a couple of times where I could have made some moves on him but it was very iffy. As agressive as Robby is, you want to be careful when you're going for a championship." Combined with Matt Kenseth's 14th place finish and Dale Earnhardt Jr's 11th place effort, Gordon moved up to second in the standings and trails Kenseth by 174 points.
Jeff Gordon and Juan Pablo Montoya traded places as scheduled on Wednesday June 11th. Montoya started the event off by taking 3 practice laps then he got up to speed in Gordon's Dupont Chevrolet. Then it was Jeff's turn. Jeff made good use of the traction control which is legal in F1 but not in NASCAR. He went off course,
albeit briefly, on his first speed lap under
braking on the infield straightaway but was
turning consistent 1:17 (one minute,
seventeen seconds) laps by the end of the
run. To put Gordon's laps in perspective, the
pole at last year's U.S. Grand Prix was 1:10
while the slowest speed in the field was 1:13.
Montoya then turned a few more laps in
Gordon's Chevrolet, clocking in less than a
second slower than Gordon's fast lap on the
Indy road course during preparations earlier in the day. On his second run, Gordon performed a launch start, the task to begin an F1 race. On his second lap he toured the road course in 1:16:5, his fast time of the day. According to Gordon's crew chief, Robbie Loomis, Montoya ran a top lap of 1 minute, 39.9 seconds in the stock car.
I'm guessing if you visit the site regularly, you realize that we have a bandwidth problem.
Let me explain bandwidth to you... Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be downloaded from your site per month. Playing the song counts as a download. We only have 1024 MB (megabytes; 1000 kilo-bytes). That means, if we have 4.00MB songs throughout the whole month, they can only be played 250 times throughtout the month. That's why we need you as our "customers" to tone down on playing the songs, especially if you have the song we're featuring in your collection. Otherwise, you'll get a page like this, instead of Fire24Flames:

Anyways... regarding the backup page, we're going to be working on a geocities page to replace the homestead page when the bandwidth is reached... More to come on this later, as we need to get this all organized and sorted. It's going to take lots of work to get everything decently viewable. It'll be ready sometime in late June or July sometime.
